Pedodontics
Care that keeps children comfortable
Pedodontics is dentistry for children — preventing problems where possible, treating them gently where necessary, and building a relationship with the dentist that lasts.

About the treatment
Baby teeth matter
Baby teeth are often dismissed because they fall out anyway. They should not be — they hold space for the adult teeth forming beneath, they are needed for eating and speech, and infection in one can affect the developing tooth underneath. Losing one early can crowd the adult teeth that follow.
How a child experiences the dentist early on tends to stay with them. Appointments are kept unhurried, everything is explained in terms a child understands, and prevention — sealants, fluoride, showing a parent how to brush effectively — does most of the useful work.
- Unhurried appointments, explained at a child’s level
- Prevention prioritised over treatment
- Early assessment of how the bite is developing
- Parents shown the technique, not just told to brush
